Woodland Wander Quilt Along
We’re just a few days away from the start of our Woodland Wander Quilt Along! We thought it would be helpful to do a little intro post on what it is and what to expect during the quilt along.
First off, what is a quilt along? It’s just a group of people making the same quilt at the same time. It’s a great way to feel connected to other quilters and motivate you to finish a quilt. One of the fun things about our quilt along is that we will be making the quilt with you and sharing weekly tips on each step of the process. We will also be hosting weekly giveaways on Instagram for some amazing prizes from our amazing sponsors: Art Gallery Fabrics, Moda Fabrics, Bluprint, OLFA, Cottoneer, and Geeky Bobbin!
Now that you know what we’re doing, how do you participate?
- First off, you will need the Woodland Wander quilt pattern. It’s on sale right up until the quilt along starts next Monday! We have both PDF and Paper pattern versions available here on our website.
- Next, you will want to sign up for the quilt along newsletter below. We will send an email every Monday with all the information for each week. You can also join our Facebook group to ask questions and share photos.
Weekly Schedule
June 3rd: Choose Fabrics
June 10th: Cut Fabric
June 17th: Piece Blocks
June 24th: Piece Quilt Top
July 1st: Quilt & Bind
July 15th: Last day to submit a photo of your finished quilt top to be entered to win the grand prize!
Each week, we will host an Instagram giveaway for prizes that you will love. Lots of fabric, patterns, quilt kits, and notions will be up for grabs. For the weekly giveaways, you will need to have a public Instagram account. The giveaways will all run a little bit differently, so be sure to read the directions carefully each week. Posting a photo of your weekly progress using the hashtag #woodlandwanderquiltalong will always get you an entry.
For the GRAND PRIZE: We will accept entries for the grand prize through Instagram, our Facebook group, or by email.

Hello. I’m interested but have never done anything like this before. Does it require Facebook or being on line at the same time with the other participants? I really have a crazy schedule with a lot of medical appts. to work in. Also, I did not see a price for the pattern. Is it possible to buy the pattern and work on my own?
Hi Norma, you can definitely work on the quilt at any time during the week that works for you. You will have the whole week to finish each step. The sale price of the pattern is $8. Here’s the link to both versions of the pattern: Woodland Wander Quilt Pattern.
