Weekends Easter Dresses
Having three little girls to dress up is too much fun! Of course, I had to sew them all matching dresses for Easter Sunday. This year’s Easter dresses were made using Erin McMorris’s “Weekends” fabric in greens and purples, and Create Kids Couture‘s free Marilyn’s Slim Fit Peasant Dress pattern. This pattern was perfect for my highly last-minute schedule, and the girls loved their dresses!
The optional sash was the perfect finishing touch, so I would say that unless you are going for the loose-fit look, it’s a must. I cut leftover fabric into skinny strips with my pinking blade and made a variation of our free Simple Hairbow for quick matching clips.
I just love how these dresses turned out. The fabric was perfect, the fit was perfect, and the whole day was just perfect! Who knows how much longer these girls will all want to match, so we better go with it while we can. Sewing for little girls is the best!
