We Made It: Baby Bibs & Glass Jar Winter Scenes
Quite often, we find ourselves making things from our own tutorials again and again. It’s fun to revisit our older posts and remember how much fun it was the first time around, and to realize that we really do have some fun stuff back in the archives!Sometimes, we find ourselves in need of something new. Since most of the baby things we have around here are girly, our Little King didn’t have much of a bib selection. We used Cami’s Baby Bib tutorial (with the free pattern!) and the Make Your Own Bias Tape tutorial to whip out these adorable boy bibs.
There’s adorable and absorbent flannel on the back, and we used velcro for the closure instead of snaps. It didn’t take much fabric to come up with a set of four bibs. We even had some bias tape to spare.Other times, we just love a project so much, we want to share it with some friends! Our glass jar winter scenes from last year are so easy and so much fun. Since we still had a lot of the supplies left over and these cute things are easily found in stores right now, we made a new batch as a youth activity. Notice the addition of baker’s twine and fancy tape around the jar lids. Lastly, we wanted to show you the gorgeous fabric we are working with right now. This is the Little Joys line from Penny Rose Fabrics (sister company to Riley Blake). We have a few projects in the works, which we will be showcasing next week. We can’t wait to show you how adorable the apron, table runner, and lap quilt are going to be!
We hope you’ve enjoyed our little project show-and-tell today. Give our older tutorials a try! Click here for: Sewing Tutorials, Quilting Tutorials, and Craft Tutorials. Love these glass winter jars – so pretty! I wanted to make snow globes this year but for some reason I forgot. Definitely going to get this on the list for next year.
