Star Farm Quilt
Meet the Star Farm Quilt! Fall is the perfect time to get back into quilting again, after all the craziness of summer. Our Picket Fence Quilt has been rewritten, this time using fat quarters for the hexagon stars instead of yardage. We’ve also included FOUR different sizes in this pattern!
We used fabric from the Wonderland line by Rifle Paper Co. for Cotton + Steel for this entire quilt.
We wanted to have a name that incorporated the hexagon stars that make up the quilt, and we thought it looks like how stars might grow. Also, Diane grew up on a farm in Star, ID, so it’s sort of a play on that as well. We also used a lot of metallic gold in this quilt, which just adds to the sparkle! We followed a pantograph with a leaf and swirls for the quilting design that goes well with the overall theme.
We had to cut the striped binding along the length of the fabric to get it perpendicular to the quilt, but it was definitely worth it to get the look we wanted!
This is the lap size, but there are also baby, twin, and full/queen options. The baby and twin sizes don’t use a border.
We know this pattern release has been long-anticipated, but we think it’s well worth the wait! To celebrate the release, we are offering 20% off the PDF version of the Star Farm Quilt pattern for the first 4 days. Also note that paper copies of the pattern are still being printed, but they are available now for pre-order. We anticipate them to ship in 1-2 weeks. Thank you for your continued support of our little quilting business! We just have the two of us here, and we really appreciate your support of the quilts that we put so much time and work into making happen. We hope you enjoy making this one as much as we have, and we always love to hear from you!
