Sneak Peek: Mini Modern Quilt Pattern Bundle
This week were are absolutely effervescing to show a sneak peek of the first of our upcoming Mini Quilt Pattern Bundles. These have been so much fun to make, because they are scaled down to go together in a snap. They take very little fabric (perfect for scraps from a larger project), they can be finished in an afternoon, and they are easily quilted on a regular sewing machine.
The first is the Mini Modern Zig Zag made from scraps of the original Candy Shoppe Quilt. We chose to bind it in orange check to finish the bold graphic design.
Next is the Mini Modern Herringbone made from Ladies Stitching Club fabric. We still love to use these prints in our projects and they have a lovely silky feel.
And finally, this is the Mini Chunky Chevron made from coordinating pastels. This was made to match a baby quilt and sock monkey clothed in the same fabrics. Large half-square triangles are so versatile in quilt patterns, and these are arranged by color to make the large chevron design.
For this little bed, we made a mattress from striped ticking and bed linens from IKEA dish towels. Pretty fun! And thanks to Clark for making this beautiful doll bed. It is made entirely from mortise and tenon construction–no nails. It’s perfect for displaying our growing collection of minis. We have several mini quilt collections in the works, so stay tuned!
This sounds fun! The quilts are beautiful!!!
I just finished two doll quilts last week, but my husband built another doll bed for my other daughter for Christmas, so I will be making another quilt soon!
The quilts are gorgeous! I started two quilts last year and I’m still working on them. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Merry Monday.
