Sky Feathers Quilt

We’re excited to introduce our newest quilt pattern, Sky Feathers! This quilt has been in development for some time, and it’s so good to finally have it ready for you.

This pattern started out as a quilt kit for Bluprint, which was just about to come out when they unexpectedly went out of business. We had everything ready to go, with a finished pattern and sample, so it was very disappointing. Even though they went out of business, our exclusivity contract was still in effect, so we had to wait until this year to release the pattern ourselves.

We wanted to remake the quilt in colors and fabrics that are more our style, so we used Tula Pink’s Spirit Animal and a couple of coordinating solids for our new sample.

We also sent our Sky Feathers pattern out to more than a dozen quilt testers to make sure we didn’t miss anything. We love seeing the variety of colors they chose. Here are some of our favorites!

“I like the instructions!!!! Which isn’t to say the pattern itself isn’t gorgeous. But I often buy, then ignore about 80-85% of quilt patterns because the cut list or instructions are too vague and/or don’t include images. The charts, diagrams and instructions in this pattern are very well written. I never felt lost or confused for any step. It was encouraging to complete each page… and of course getting a whole quilt top done in such a short time for how many pieces were involved.” -Domenika
