Definitely Positive Quilt Tutorial
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We thought we might take a minute to just say how much we appreciate all of you for helping to make our company a success. Sometimes we wonder if the time and energy we spend is worth it, but when we look back at all the things we’ve done together, it’s amazing! So, thank you for being a part of it all, and we hope you’ll stick around.
We do have a little something for you today: the Definitely Positive Quilt! This is a free tutorial that we developed for the Moda Bake Shop blog.
We used Kate Spain’s new Voyage fabric for this quilt, along with six coordinating solids. You could just as easily use one solid for this quilt, like white or gray.
Our favorite part about this quilt is the plus outline that the jelly roll fabric creates around the solid plus. In fact, that’s how the quilt got its name!
Definitely Positive finishes to 60″ x 60″ when using 36 jelly roll strips, but if you have more than that you could make this quilt any size you want.
For the quilting, we used the Last Leaves pantograph design by Anne Bright. We used a variegated coral thread that worked perfectly. There’s nothing else quite like the texture of a quilt. We used our favorite machine binding method to get this done in a hurry. This entire quilt took less than a week, start to finish.
Head on over to the Moda Bake Shop blog for the free tutorial for the Definitely Positive Quilt! We hope you have a wonderful holiday season. We’re gearing up for a special event and sample sale(!!!) for the 12 Days of Christmas from December 1-12, so check back every day to see what we have in store!
