Cutting Garden Quilt
Today, we have another one of our new Craftsy quilt kits to share. If you missed the first one, check out the Picket Fence Quilt here. This second pattern is called Cutting Garden (affiliate link*). This is probably the most beginner-friendly quilt from the So Sweet group (aff.), both in piecing difficulty and size.
What we love about this quilt is the soft off-white background, and the big squares at the center of each star block that are so perfect for showcasing large prints. The pops of red add a really fun contrast for this quilt. We also love the quilting on this one. Loops cover the main body of the quilt in an overall pattern, with flowers in each star center, then the borders feature a scrolling leaf and vine design.
Like we mentioned, this is a great project for a beginner. It comes together pretty quickly, and the piecing allows for small errors that won’t be noticeable. The finished size is 70″ x 90″, which would be great for a twin bed. For the time being, the Cutting Garden Quilt pattern is exclusively available through Craftsy in a kit (aff.), featuring all the same fabrics we used.
