Crimson Crown Quilt Pattern

We are thrilled to announced that the highly anticipated Crimson Crown Quilt Pattern is now available:

Get the Crimson Crown Pattern here!

This pattern started as a kit for Bluprint, which quickly sold out and is no longer available. We’ve had more inquiries for this pattern than any other that we’ve ever made!

We have also added another size for our version of the pattern, which uses the center medallion to make a wall hanging.

We have both PDF and Paper Copy options for this quilt pattern, but keep in mind that the paper copies are still in production, so it will take 1-2 weeks to ship out if you order now.

Another bit of good news: Bluprint has renewed this pattern for another kit in another fabric line, coming later this year!

Thank you for your patience if you have been waiting on our contract with Bluprint to expire. We know it’s hard to wait, but everyone has been so understanding, and we think it will be worth the wait!

  1. Can you share what fabrics or line was used in the Crimson Crown quilt shown on this page? There’s so many different shades and I really love the quilt exactly the way it is. <3

    1. Hi Kerry, this quilt was a kit from Bluprint/Craftsy that used their own fabric line, called Boundless Maison Rouge. They’ve gone out of business, so I don’t think you can get it anymore. The original kits sold out quite quickly.

  2. I bought this kit from bluprint. I am currently putting it together for my daughter. I am finding it very difficult to put together. All other patterns when making flying geese or HST the fabric is cut larger so it can be trimmed down to size. This pattern has you cut the pieces at size so it was very hard get them to come out the correct size. It’s not finished yet, but I hope I can get it to come out well enough to get it quilted.

    1. Hi Sherry, this pattern was designed in conjunction with Bluprint, and they requested specific things from us. Personally, we hate trimming to size, so this method is our preference on quilts with a lot of pieces. If you’re using a regular scant 1/4″ seam, you should be fine!

  3. I purchased your “Crimson Crown” quilt pattern recently. I have read the directions and am very disappointed that they don’t provide ‘finish sizes’ for each unit.
Can you please provide the finish dimensions for: Half square triangles, flying geese, 4 patches, pointed rectangle block, square in square and for each block?
Your directions do not allow for squaring up of any units. Biased pieced units never come out the same size without this essential step. And of course without the correct sized units the quilt can’t be pieced accurately.
I look forward to receiving more precise instructions for the “Crimson Crown” quilt pattern. It is a beautiful pattern and I’m looking forward to making it.
    Thank You for Your help,
    Bonnie

    1. Hi Bonnie, for all of those pieces in Crimson Crown, with the exception of the 4 patch, the finished sizes are the same as the cut size of the largest piece in the unit. I can’t put the exact dimensions in this public comment, but I will email you.
