Artist Portfolio: Another Version

Our Artist Portfolio is one of our favorite lesser-known patterns.  It’s the perfect companion for a vacation, so we thought we might show this never-before-seen version to spark some creativity.  The fabric for this version is Echino canvas, Joel Dewberry for the floral and birds, and mustard yellow polka dots from Hobby Lobby.We designed the Artist Portfolio to meet all of our art supply storage and travel needs.  The pencil/marker/crayon/water pen/whatever-else-you-want holder is easily customized to whatever width you need.  The box pouch is roomy storage for oddly shaped items, and the notebook holder (right side) is able to accommodate a top-bound or side-bound notebook.Most importantly, the double zippers provide secure storage, so nothing on the inside accidentally falls out.  The front of the outside features a pocket for easy-to-find storage, and the leather handles are an especially nice touch.  We also added an extra embellishment to the outside of this portfolio, featuring turquoise chipmunk ribbon, designed by Tula Pink for Renaissance Ribbon.Behind each side panel on the inside, there is more pocket space to store extra papers.The best part of the Artist Portfolio is that it allows you to take your art with you wherever you will be.  The zippers and binding can be tricky to work with, but take your time and you will be able to do it!  The binding works best if it’s sewn on by hand, but we used the machine on this version and only had to unpick a couple of spots.
